Amazon Payments does set one cookie before actively selecting Amazon Payments, some more after active selection. Due to our current state of research all of these cookies an be deemed as necessary cookies, so they might be added into the cookie consent module either by us in form of a static preset or by the merchant via manual insertion of descriptions in his cookie consent configuration. The legal situation on this matter can't be considered to be in a final state, so things might probably change in the future. Since Amazon also doesn't promise to keep the cookie situation static, a preset might get outdated without notice.

We guess it's a current best practice not to do a static preset right now, but to inform merchants that there are legal topics that might need attention when integrating amazon payments into their shops.
