...akin to changing the status of products in a category

1. go to Catalog > Categories / Products
2. open the test category
3. select all product's checkboxes
4. in the dropdown you can change their status to active / inactive, which is nice
5. go to Catalog > Special Pricing

result:

• on the specials site you only have the option to delete them alltogether, but not the option to change their status, so you would have to do it one by one, which can get very annoying when a lot of specials are involved

idea:

• it should be possible to assign the status batch-wise, as can be seen in the categories menu
