short version below: Preconditons: - create at least 2 categories, A, B - go to Catalog > Product-Filter, create a new filter with at least 1 filter value - add this new filter to features startpage - activate global filter and persistent persisent filter - save - go to Content > Edit theme - activate expert mode - go to areas > menu boxes > activate menu boxes on: start page and categories, save - go to catalog > categories / products - open a category A, catgory, add the filter as category filter, activate it, save, leave category B without category filter save - add a filter value to a product in this category A 1. * go to the frontend startpage category with the filter (frontend) 2. * check the filters checkbox, click on filter 3. * --> the filter searches the whole shop (all categories) for matching filter values, product gets filtered products get displayed 4. * click on another category A without deselecting which doesn't have the filter--> the global persistent filter displays matching products from only category A filterd product 5. click on category B expected: - as category B has no category filter, no the filter should be applied here, only the unfiltered contents of category B should be displayed shows filtered products in this category, if available actual: - somehow the startpage filter takes effect and displays global filter shows the results trough all categories from the category before
