Preview works again after complete reload of StyleEdit;
Faced that issue in two fresh installations (4.4.0.3), one local and one on a server, and in one productive shop after update to 4.4.0.1 (Bloomify, Update by Customizing);
Log entry and screenshots attached;
Credentials can be provided on demand;

1. open SE4
2. click on preview
3. click save while previe is active
result:
* the theme is broken or fails to load
* does not happen everytime
