Since refactoring the logging components we had some struggle with the logging of error messages and exceptions. Therefore, it is necessary to improve and unify the logging again.
In a first step, the error handling should be refactoring in a way, that error messages and exceptions are handled separately. Furthermore, each logged error should contain information about the occurrence of the error and provide some kind of debug trace log.
In an additional step, the error handling should also be used in the installer and updater.
What needs to be tested:
- Correct logging of warnings
- Correct logging of exceptions
- Configuration of user-friendly error pages
- Displaying of the user-friendly error pages
- Error handling in new and old architektur
